Breaking Bad – The Ecstasy of Gold (tribute video)

You understood what I’ve just said to you? Yes. Lung cancer. Inoperable. What I want… What I need… is a choice. You want to cook crystal meth? You know the business and I know the chemistry. You’re not how I remember you from class. I mean, like, not at all. 672 000 dollars. Each. Each! Yes! Hey, come high, baby! Come on! Chemistry is the study of matter, but I prefer to see it as the study of… change. It is growth, then decay, then transformation. Stay out of my territory. Yeah Mr. White! Yeah Science! This… is not meth. I’ve lost my family. Everything that I care about. I didn’t marry a criminal. We agreed 50/50, partners! Partners in what? From what I can tell, you are just a pathetic junkie! I want nothing to do with you! Ever since I met you, everything I ever cared about is gone! Ruined, turned to shit, dead. Ever since I hooked up with the great Heisenberg! I have never been more alone! I HAVE NOTHING! It’s all gone. How did everything get so screwed up? We had a good run… but it’s over. Run Mr. White! RUN! No more half measures, Walter. Run. It seems to me, you have two options. Option A: you kill me right here and now. What is option B? You might want to hold off. Yeah? Why? Because your boss is gonna need me. What’d you expect me to do? Just simply roll over? That I wouldn’t take measures to defend myself? I came to realize… is that fear. That’s the worst of it. That’s the real enemy. Get up. And you kick that bastard as hard as you can right in the teeth. You’re in over your head. Who are you talking to right now? Who is it you think you see? You clearly don’t know who you’re talking to, so let me clue you in. I am NOT in danger, Skyler. I AM the danger! A guy opens his door and gets shot and you think that of me? No. I am the one who knocks! I have lived under the threat of death for a year now. And because of that, I’ve made choices. I alone should suffer the consequences of those choices, no one else. And those consequences… they’re coming. WHERE IS THE MONEY?! No more prolonging the inevitable. ADMIT IT! I DID NOT DO THIS! I’ll do it! Do it. I won. I have spent my whole life scared, frightened of things that could happen, might happen, might not happen. 50 years. Finding myself awake at three in the morning. But you know what? Ever since my diagnosis, I sleep just fine. All that I’ve done, the things I’ve had to do… I’ve got to live with them. All the sacrifices that I’ve made for this family, all of it, I did it for a good reason. Never give up control. Live life on your own terms. Who’s in charge? Me. That’s how I live my life. There is gold in the streets just waiting for someone to come and scoop it up. Are we in the meth business, or the money business? I’m in the empire business. You’re a time bomb tick-tick-ticking… and I have no intention of being around for the boom. I will not have my children living in a house where dealing drugs and killing people is shrugged off as “shit happens!” I’m done explaining myself. All I can do is wait. Hold on. And wait. Wait for what? For the cancer to come back. How many more people will gonna die because of us? Now that we’re in control, no one else gets hurt. You keep saying that and it’s bullshit every time! If you believe that there is hell, we’re already pretty much going there. But I’m not going to lie down until I get there. All of this falling apart is on you! You and your pride and your ego. Please tell me… how much is enough? How big that this pile have to be. I’m not coming back. I’m out. Say my name. Walter White? You got me. We’ve got new players in town. It was you… All along it was you! The lives he’s destroyed… he’s a monster. He can’t keep getting away with this! You wanna burn him down? Let’s do it together. Mr. White – he’s the devil. Step up, be a man and admit what you’ve done. You killed him… We’re a family! We’re a family… This family is everything to me. Without it, I have nothing to lose. You two suck at peddling meth, period.

About the author

  1. Just watched for the second time, such a sad story really, the last couple of episodes especially. Amazing how real it all feels, what a show.

  2. In this world, there are two types of people: those who knock and those who are the danger.

  3. Its 2019. I have watched this or repeat in 2013 and your earlier tribute in 2012 waiting for this one at the end of the series. I just wanted to say thank you for creating these tributes. The clips and the music still gives me the feels all these years later. Truly a job well done!

  4. Am I the one who thinks every frame, I mean each and every frame in this TV series that'll not only while watching single time but every fuckin time makes more sense and gives goosebumps inside.!?!?👊

  5. Heard this was good, so I watched every episode over the weekend a couple of weeks ago, damn it wasn't good , it was better than that, and now I'm depressed that there's no more to watch, every other show is a pale comparison, watching better call Saul which is pretty decent, but it's not breaking bad.

  6. "You know the business and I know the chemistry"

Does anyone realize that towards the end, Walt becomes really good in the business while Jesse does the same with the chemistry but that became the downfall of them?

  7. Picture comes in as soon as he figures out he has cancer and has to make a next move. Well done! 👍🏽

    *THE next move

  8. The imagery and symbolism in this show is perfect because it's too relatable to real life. There's too much symbolism in my life. Just an example (not real) Like me a young kid with a bright future. Looking at a picture of my older brother who turned gangster and started smoking. Now I'm looking at a picture of me when I was 7. Everything going for me, good ass life. Looking at the picture the day after I bought a grill and some marijuana. Again not real, just an example. If it was real I wouldn't say it here anyway.

How many of you waiting for El Camino
