What is believed to have been the world’s
oldest rhino has died at the age of 57 in a conservation area in Tanzania. The conservation area authority said a female
black rhino, Fausta , died last Friday of natural causes. In a statement, it added records show that
Fausta lived longer than any rhino in the world. She was kept in a sanctuary for the past three
years due to her deteriorating health. Fausta was first located by a scientist in
1965 when she was three or four years old.
